Built for the years between leaving home and feeling at home.
Taeco Aether Private Limited is a small, independent product company in Mumbai. We started in 2024 with a campus food app and the mango that still sits in our mark. Two products later, we own and operate Dwelo, a flatmate and flat-finding platform for the people who move to this city every year.
How it started
The first product was Taeco, in 2024: order ahead from your campus eateries and skip the queue. It was small and specific, and it taught us the thing we have kept since: that a student's day is a sequence of ordinary problems nobody has bothered to solve properly.
Snipp came next, in 2025. An anonymous, location-based feed where a campus could say what it was really thinking. It taught us how carefully you have to handle identity, privacy and safety when the users are young and the stakes are real.
Then the people we built for graduated, took jobs, and moved to Mumbai. They found a flat. They did not find the right person to share it with. Every tool out there was built to find property, not people, and the middlemen charged a month's rent for a four-minute introduction. So in 2026 we built Dwelo: verified identities, matching on how you actually live, and no brokerage for the person moving in.
In September 2025 the company behind these products was incorporated as Taeco Aether Private Limited. Taeco is the name we started with. Aether is the layer above the products: the thing that lasts while the products follow the person from one stop to the next.
Stops so far
- 2024 Taeco launches: order-ahead food pickup on campus. The mango becomes the mark.

What we do not compromise on
- The person moving in comes first.
- Not the landlord, not the broker, not the algorithm, not the advertiser. Every product decision starts with the person who has to live with the outcome.
- One city done properly.
- We would rather be unmistakably useful in Mumbai than vaguely present in ten cities. Depth first; the map grows when the first city earns it.
- Free where it should be free.
- Finding a flatmate on Dwelo is free and stays free. We do not sell the basics back to the people we built them for.
- Built from here.
- We are from Mumbai. We know what a two-hour commute means, and what it is to pay a broker ₹40,000 for one phone call. We build for that reality, not a borrowed one.

A note from the founder
To everyone who has moved to a city with a job offer and a suitcase: you know the moment. It is 11pm on a Tuesday, you are standing in a kitchen you share with someone you barely vetted, and you realise you never asked the right questions before you signed.
That is not a personal failure. It is a structural one. The systems built to help you find a place to live were never built to help you find the right people to live with, or the right canteen, or the right conversation. Every product this company makes exists to fix one of those structural gaps for one person at one moment.
We are going to do this slowly and properly, in Mumbai first, without investors telling us to grow fast and compromise. If you want to build like that, my email is below. I read everything.
